Celebrating 75 years, Butlins at Skegness was the first Butlins resort to open. The resort (the largest on the East coast), offers non-stop activities and entertainment for all.
On site amenities include direct beach access, adventure golf, American pool, archery, beach sports court, children's activities for all ages, children's favourite TV characters, cinema, climbing wall, daytime and evening shows, fencing, funfair and tots indoor funfair, go-karts, gymnasium, high ropes course, indoor soft play area, multi-sports courts, nursery, outdoor play area, puppet castle, quaser laser games, Skyline Pavillion, snooker hall, spa, ten-pin bowling and trampolines.
Available also is Splash Waterworld. This is not just a swimming pool; it offers flumes and water chutes. Ride the rapids of the master blaster raft ride, whizz round in the space bowl, soak up the waves in the wave pool, hide in the water cave, swim with the rapids, or let the toddlers play in the tots play area. There is also an outdoor pool which opens in the summer months.
The resort also has several restaurants, bars and cafes,shops. Also available are laundry facilies and wi-fi hotspots.
The resort security is fantastic, with security to access and exit the resort from the main entrance and also the beach.
There are many activities to keep the children happy whatever their age and you can have have just as much fun too. With a fantastic line up of activities whatever the weather, you`ll have something new to do every time you visit!
During the evening you`ll be spoilt for choice with comedy shows, music and dancing. The adult weekends offer some fantastic line-ups at various times throughout the year.
Regular buses stop at Butlins for various day trips or shopping trips to surrounding areas.
Out & About
If you wish to venture out of Butlins, Fantasy Island is on the doorstep with a big open market. Also, within a short distance is Ingoldmells, Louth, Mablethorpe and of course Skegness town itself.
Great places to visit include - Parrot Zoo at Friskney, Five Sailed Windmaill at Alford, Skegness Water Leisure Park, North Shore Golf Club, Lincolnshire Wolds Railway, Hardy's Animal Farm, Skegness Stadium (Stock Car, Banger Racing, Monster Trucks), Natureland Seal Sanctuary, Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary, Bateman's Brewery, Claythorpe Watermill & Wildflower Gardens, Rushmoor Country Park, Lincoln Castle, Pleasure Island. Fishing is available at Sycamore Lakes, and Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve is always worth a visit during your stay as well as the stretch of golden sandy beaches.
